My name is Emma Hall, and I am a young wife and mother of five. Yep, five kids! My husband and I are high school sweethearts, married at 18. He spent five years in the Marine Corps, during which time we followed him back and forth across the country. Nine moves + one deployed husband later we have settled in Ohio (for good?) where we work to balance chaos, joyful children, toxic free living, renovating our farmhouse, and living simple.
Motherhood

I am the mom bully

My husband and I love Target. The possibilities there are endless, and I don’t think we have ever been without leaving having purchased something we didn’t need because everything there is cheap and superstores still excite this third culture kid. One of my favorite (or least favorite) things about Target is that those who shop there seriously give The People of Walmart a run for their money. The other day we sat intell me the rest!

Motherhood

The mundane, beautiful life of the mom who stays home

I’m sitting at my computer with a child clinging to my legs begging to be picked up because he wants attention. Again. I could have sworn this exact same thing happened an hour ago when I was working on my business training. Oh wait…it did! My daily activities have started to feel very familiar. Wouldn’t it be great if moms could be spontaneous and crazy every once in awhile? …but kids.tell me the rest!

Braised apple and cranberry turkey meatballs

With a hint of mint, sage, and essential oils. My husband will attest to the fact that any time we go out to eat and there is a meal containing both cranberries and turkey on the menu, I will order it. Growing up in Malaysia, turkey was extremely expensive and therefore became a huge luxury, and I absolutely adore how it pairs with sweet, tart cranberries. Add shredded onion andtell me the rest!

Young Living

Calorie burning tea, baby-calming magic, and happiness in a bottle: January edition

When we pulled up our driveway after a spontaneous trip to Charlotte, NC and I spotted the Young Living box on the doorstep, I was ridiculously excited. I am crazy stingy with my money so I don’t know how on earth dropping tons of money on these products brings me so much joy, but two of my favorite parts of the month are 1.) customizing my monthly essential rewards order andtell me the rest!

Adulting is not for adults

It would seem that nowadays an adult acting like an adult is an applaudable accomplishment–or a completely optional alternative to callowness. My Facebook newsfeed is filled with updates from my sweet college friends informing me that they still have to sing the alphabet song in their head to get the right letter #adulting. First three meals of 2017–donuts, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut #adulting. Won $5 on a scratch off so Itell me the rest!
